Does anyone know anything about these boxes? My friend brought me a few boards to fix, and one of them has these boxes, and one broke out. If anyone knows where I could get one, could they please let me know, I would greatly appriciate it.

Hey Chris,
I asked before too (here) and no one seemed to know. I think OAM abandoned their fins/boxes. They looked good though.
you can try reaching them:
OAM world headquarters

Hopefully others will chime in.

I can’t tell you about the fin box, but I had an OAM leash that came apart after about 20 sessions. I choose not to use that stuff now. I would imagine that they use a cheap manufacturer.

If you want the strongest single fin box, hands down the ChinookProducts, from the Gorge.
They’re 1/2 times thicker all around, big grooves for resin bite, have a single post that you can attach thru to the deck, and superior, semi rigid, but still flexible plastic reinforced with resin.
All the custom windsurf boards that use A box use the Chinook…
Yes, they are made by On a Mission. I have never seen them before, and they don’t look like a very good box, because the one looks like it popped straight out. I’ll try to post a pic tomorrow.

If im not mistaken i believe that OAM was trying to push into the finbox industry but didnt seem to get any traction and possibly abondoned it. Last rumor i heard was that OAM was bought out…dunno if thats true though.
but I had an OAM leash that came apart after about 20 sessions
that’s why they call it “on a mission”…cuz if you use their leashes, you’ll be on a mission to find your board.
Nice.
What about “On A Commission”
A bunch of pros endorsing stuff they probably don’t even use. Or they treat it like disposable gear, replacing it every week for the next boat/modeling trip.
Heres some pics of the board.

Just went next door to ask the guys at Pearsons if they had one. Nada. But they said you might try asking Allan at Resin fibered down the street here in oceanside. He’s usually gone by noon so call early. If that doesn’t work call The Lab (also here in o-side). Both should be in the book.
