O'neill Psycho 11 seam glue deteriorating

My ancient but lovingly cared for Psycho 11 4/3 has a weird problem. Before I toss it maybe someone has a suggestion. I’ve always stored it in the house but haven’t needed that size for years. My leg stuck in it last week putting it on and when I removed it I was covered with gloppy black glue that took an hour with alcohol to remove. All the seems are tight but sticky to the touch. WTF??? Seems like loosing an old friend…C

I clicked on the thread because I have a similar problem, but not the same. Yours sounds worse. I have a Billabong absolute X wetsuit, and its is a few years old but very well kept, I always rinse and hang to dry then store in a cool place.

The wetsuit is in great shape, but the seam tape is just falling apart and falling off. I wouldn’t mind buying some seam tape and glue if I could fix it myself, but not sure exactly what to buy or where.

I’m afraid if I put seam tape on that it won’t stick to the bad glue areas. That was my only thought so far. What a waste…Thanks

Yeah sounds like its done. I would contact ONeill customer support and ask them tho.

I just sent an email to billabong about mine, wonder if I’ll get a response

Depends on where you are located, but there are wetsuit repair people around who can reglue. Better to just get over it and buy a new suit. If you shop online you can buy a wetsuit from any of the major manufacturers for less than $200. Wetsuit Wearhouse is a good place to start.
