-is JPS really better than Hexcel? and why?..hexcel warp is really bad, but i think that e glass is good… -i will shape a 7´4´´ “egg” but i still don´t have a template for … so, i need measures options (1´ from the nose, 2´ from the nose and 1´ up the tail, etc). the surfer is a big guy, and his day by day board is a 9´ but modern not a classic one…he´s got “medium” surf skills… 7´11´´ is the blank… thanks
g hunt posted a very nice set of dimensions a few months ago. i built a similar outline, but it didn’t look much like his egg when i was done. i scooped-out the nose quite a lot and left it a little thick in the tail to add a bit of floatation way back to make it more of a beginners board. so it had somewhat of an S shaped deck. the bottom was mostly flat except rolled in the nose and with a slight v in front of the fin. i used a rainbow TK flex 9.5 fin.
dudes, i still need more opinions…now i shaped 6´5´´ and 6´7´´ eggs about 16´´ from 1´ nose down and 19´´ 2´ down; 20´´ middle; 18 3/4´´ 2´ up the tail, about 15´´ 1´tail…and itis look great… i need measures for a 7´4´´ still don´t shape this board…thanks
