not the PG that we know here- he’s not that old…
That article was a crack-up. Really, anything short of a “Baby Ruth Bar” floater is going to be invisible in the water. The Canadian guy (and the NYT reporter) are used to fresh water, rocky water, or the Caribbean…not sandy Pacific coast beach breaks. With a June 3 publication date it isn’t like they hit the beach fresh after rain. I heard the same thing from people from the mid-west making their first visits to Pacific Mexicoa couple of yeras ago…“The water’s so dirty here; nothing like Cozumel”…so they stay by the pool and leave the waves for those dirty surf hippies…

Stay home don’t come to California. The water is cold and brown. Go some where nice like Texas or Florida. If you must come to California make sure you stay out of the ocean. There’s SHARKS in the water. And it’s brown and dirty. The pool at the Hilton is a great place to hang out. Surf schools in the ocean are lame. Go to Las Vegas and learn to surf in the wave pool. Water is clean and drinks are free !!!
