Haavard, My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family. I used to post here with you regularly, under another user name.
I probably should just trust that you and modern science know what’s best. But I have some advice I think will help if it isn’t already too late.
Cancer is an autoimmune disease. Many decades ago medical scientists recognized that autoimmune diseases thrive by being chemically invisible to the body’s immune system. Lately several specialists have made progress with the theory that harmful digestive microorganisms erode the intestinal walls, and place partially digested food and harmful chemical waste into the adjacent bloodstream. The immune system is forced to do the digestive system’s work, and remove the undigested food from the bloodstream. This process taxes the limits of the immune system. Meanwhile the waste chemicals of the digestive microorganisms confuse the body’s immune system.
These waste products cause two immune reactions:
They make the immune system think tissues in various body systems are actually foreign bodies, to be tagged and killed.
Chemically the body recognizes the danger created by the entire body looking like it needs to be attacked, and the immune system timidly fails to attack foreign bodies like cancer cells which it should attack.
The solution is to replace the harmful digestive microorganisms:
Stop feeding sugar to the bad microorganisms.
Start feeding plain live yogurt. It overpowers the harmful intestinal bacteria with beneficial microorganisms.
Stop killing off beneficial bacteria with chlorinated water and strong food dyes. Feed only non-chlorinated water.
It’s called pro-biotics. It has been used successfully on many cancer patients with excellent results. There is no down side to trying it.
Keep doing everything your doctors say. …just do this too.
Since you’re Scandinavian, you might actually see the benefit of yogurt. In large portions of Western Europe people haven’t drunk tap water for generations. The only things left are cutting out sugar and dyes.
Good luck.
…
Haavard,
I’m really sorry for what’s happening. I also remember when you first told us about Ida. I’ve prayed for all involved and I will continue to do so.
There is a blessing that I hope provides some comfort. Your willingness to share this with us has elevated love. As a father, your story has caused me to appreciate my daughter even more. I’ve shared it with my wife and she was moved. Others here have said similar things. I know you’ve said it regarding Ida and Maria. The sorrow and pain you’re experiencing is being turned into love in the many homes you’ve touched with your story. Ida has helped us all love our families more. That’s a blessing. Thank you.
Thank you for the picture also. They’re both beautiful.
Ryan
Nelson and Christian would like to share “Patapouf” (their favorite fluffy dog) with Ida:
Catherine and I share what can be shared by people who’ve been through this. PM if/whenever you need to talk. You’re welcome anytime. Thoughts and prayers are with you all from deep inside.
Haavard, As I sit at my desk crying, I cant think of anything meaninful to say, but through the dark times ahead know that she will always be by your side. I don’t know if you are religious, but there is another side, I have experienced enough to believe that. My thought and prayers are with you as they have been for the past year.
So sad, cant begin to imagine what your going through, must feel like hell, I feel for you.

So sorry to hear about Your daghter not getting better Haavard…Near and dear ones come and go. Some stay with us a longer time some more briefly, life is a transient experience we will never really know what tomorrow will bring in sorrow or happiness.
Hope You stay strong and positive throughout these hard times of Yours and Your family.
I am truly saddened by this.
Its hard to believe something like this can happen.
I hope and pray for the best for you and your daughter.
We’re praying for your daughter and your family. Losing loved ones is never easy, hopefully thoughts and prayers from the Swaylocks family will comfort yours even a little. God bless yours Haavard…
denial is a tool
remission and recovery can be a belief system
the will to overcome is the primary medicine.
life is tenuous
inherently.
My mother didnt cry
when my dad passed
she still hasn’t
I still think I am inhabiting a form of denial
the kid that passed away a couple weeks ago,
the guy that died a few years ago
the guy that died twenty years ago
I still am ready to see em turn the next corner
And I will say, I knew it !
you aint…
Ida, I draw my next breath for you
Breath as prayer
draw a deep breath
for all those in distress
all those who cannot
this is a reason to breathe.
the song of Ida will last
forever.as long as we breathe in
to sing the song,of Ida.
…ambrose…
may we all dwell
in the glow
of divine love
Christian
Stay strong Havard, have faith, this too, in time, with much pain, will pass, and life will go on. Don’t let your daughter’s passing leave a black stain on your psyche, make it shine in her memory instead!
-Dave
Haavard,
There is nothing more you can do, just know that you make the world the very best place for your daughter while she is here.
