Our own Blane Chambers

Blane is featured as one of the talented shapers (which he has become) on the North Shore

in a Shapers feature on Surfline.  Check it out, of course GG (rider, pedaling downhill madman)  is there also…

See whom you know

Great feature. A few names I did’nt recognize, most very familiar and a others legendary. One shaper there actually shaped one of his first boards in my sweatbox, thrown together structure, that I call my shaping room.

Blane is one of a few SUP riders that give the sport a good name.

For reals?  Tell da bugga I said "Hey Brah".

Blane rules! Super innovative designs and he rips. We did a profile piece with him that should be up in the next few days so stay tuned.

Good seeing a HS classmate George Ku finally getting some creds too.(also Makani)

He’s one of those unknown underground local surfer legends thats been around since the 70’s

been a fan of George and BK’s boards when BK used to sell boards at his store in Haleiwa for decades

funny that big Ben Aipa was left out maybe he moved back to town or retired.

One day Bud will be there with Makani as well

cool to see gabe garduque in there too!

how about griffin claiming to be the real chandler! ha! i only make boards one way - the right way…its built for speed, not hotdogging…you made a big gun? its almost as good as one of mine…go ahead go shred!!!

Saw some old shapers from the 60’s living in Kona this weekend. Cino’s name came up. Sad that no big name local shop has him working for them. Cino, Garduque, Andrus, Casey, Minami and a few others were the go to guys in town for many years.
