Looks like WE found a dog !
(GoldenRetriever/Standard poodle/Red Heeler)
A male dog.(this one’s going to be huge !!!His paws are at 3 months, larger than most 100 lbs adult pitbulls are) Part goldendoodle and part AUSSIE Cattle dog(Red Queensland Heeler). It’s not ours until it comes home with us.One day left to bear.Going to take my daughters w/ me today to sit at the doggie jail w/ him.
His name is " Koa ".
Howzit riffraft, Look into an Iwata air brush, they have some really nice choices and they are easy to clean after using. I have tried several brands and the Iwata has been the best so far.Aloha,Kokua
Hi Kokua,
Ive been looking at the iwatas - the HP-SBS model to be exact.
Looks like a really nice peice of gear.
What model have you used?
r.
Hey Riffraff,
I use three sizes of gun,
2 Iwata airbrushes,
2 Iwata “RG2” - The best!
2 Gravity feed guns, for large areas of colour.
Techniques include Freehand, tape-ups, stencils and projector for computer designs.
Have’nt been doing so much airbrushing these days as I’m busy building composites at Firewire, but I miss it big time!
Josh
Howzit riffraft, I have the Eclipse which I use for small detail spraying and it's really good and easy to use and clean. The RG-2 that speedneedle has is probably the best all around one you can get since you can can large spraying and detail work. The RG-2 is costly but worth it. I also have a Pashe but only used it once and hated the cleaning process plus the needles aren't stainless steel and it's to easy to bend them.Aloha,Kokua
Correction:- Thats an Iwata airbrush and an Rich, but they’re so the same the pieces are interchangable.
Kokua is right on about the RG2:- One of mine is 15yr old and I’ve only ever had to replace the cap.
Gravity feed cups on all of them.
The bottle feed ones are particularly figetty on airbrushes and the connection gets worn, so I’ve sometimes had the bottle fall out while working…That sucked so much I never got more.
Josh
That’s gonna be a hell of a dog, Herb.
Got a “Groodle” something like that… Without the Heeler.
Hope someone’s got the energy to exercise it… Cos that thing will run (and swim) for miles.
Ye,
He shares a pen w/ an Akita pup of the same age.His paws are twice the size…Koa is an appropiate name(strong soldier).
He makes me feel better and stronger just knowing he’s mine.
Anyway back to airbrushes…don’t put out alot of money till you’re sure you want to paint boards on a fulltime basis.
Hi Herb -
I think the airbrush thing has been covered so I’ll let you know how happy I am that you’ve found a new dog. It won’t replace Shelby but I know it will be a fine dog.
It will always love you no matter what. It’ll love your kids too.
Ripley says hi also. He had a little run in with the law recently but he’s OK now…
that eye is killer - looks unreal - nice art!!
Thanks herb, Im planing on painting general art stuff too with the airbrush hence my motivation for gong for a good one staight out the blocks.
post pics of the pups!!
Koa Kokua Spitzer
Hello Riffraff ,
I’m no where near the level of Speedneedle or Kokua but I love painting. My equipment is over 15 years old but still works well. Surfers like to call all spray equipment “Air Brush”. I’m using what I already had from a past life but if I was just starting out I would buy a small “touch up gun” from a cheap tool store and then work my way up from there. (like herb says). I’m new to this photo bucket thing…
Air brush
Spray Gun
I scan through surf mags and the internet to get ideas and then do test sprays on old foam. Water based paints are great because the clean up is so easy.
Good to see Ripley !
Can’t sleep…this is worse than Christmas eve as a kid !
New dog. That’s great, Herb. We have four of the dam things. All from various rescue outfits. Oh, I have an airbrush. Bought it on sale and don’t know how to use it. I tried one of those compressed air can things with no luck. Guess I need a compressor. Mike
Ive tried the aircan thing 2 and they suck… air compressor is the only way…
