Use a vacum lightly around the edge. The key is to pour the flour and pack it without creating a big mess that has to be cleaned up. Well it’s just an old trick we made use of at one time. Thought I would throw it out there to see if anyone still uses it occasionally. Also thought I would mention it for those who have never tried it. If you know about it there may come a time when you can make use of it.
All the modern quality footstrap inserts come shipped with either silicone blobs inside the thread holes or sticky magnetic plastic caps made out of that thin flexible fridge magnet material. The magnetic caps are great for finding holes under darker glass like carbon or kevlar. You just sprinkle on iron dust powder to locate the holes . then drill out the very top of the fiberglass covered cap using a V beveled router bit or even a tapered burr bit.
I also read that some dude poured Jello mix into the finboxes, then put them in the fridge to harden the mix , then install.
Apparently the chilled Jello-filled finboxes may also help reduce some of the exotherm when installing the boxes .
I have used flour once. It’s ok.
For the record: I’m only short 2 wisdom teeth…

I will have need in the near future. Definitely give it a try.
Ever try something like corn meal or does it have to be more of a powder?
whilst Im here , may as well say something good, not abt the prick older brother who told me, but, probably the only decent thing he taught me, used to laugh while I was drowning, cotton wool, mix that with resin , see how you go?

gelatin is great. you don’t need refrigeration. Just mix a little rich. cut through with a knife or router then rinse out with a hose. epoxy will absolutely not stick to it so I’m guessing you don’t want to let it drip out of the slot. just a guess. really just a guess. I SAID IT WAS GUESS, JUST LET IT GO! move on. nothing for you here.
