We never knotted nuttin’. Use different size rubber bands; small diameter for nose and tail, larger for the middle. No fuss, no muss…
where do you buy the large size bands?
er…they were in a box in Keith’s garage.
Staples, UPS Store, Costco. We also used some wider bands that I picked up from a wood working store. It took two of us to stretch those buggahs.

Geez, I don’t have very good reading comprehension skills! I coulda swore he said he was using innertubes!
Well, you could use inner tubes…You cut them…uhh, how to explain…Cut the inner tube in one place so it is one long tube. Now start cutting the long tube into really short tubes…voila! Rubber bands! If you cut them on a bias, you get larger diameter bands. You don’t have to tie them at all.
Go to see the gypsy lady
when she asks
‘‘do you want your fortune read?’’
tell her
“No I want a spell for my board instead”
whip out tthe bagged and packed board
and have her say the words…
what they might be I dunno
perhaps in baggage handler dialect
and then have her write some stuff outside too,
this I suspect will make any wrapping do.
I imagine some old Yugoslavian
song might be cool too
nd a portuguese riff on an old folksong
and Then for good measure I always write E-Z CUZ
on the outside with Psuedo religious symbols here and there
bonifide church stickers are swell dont get me wrong.
wrap it with the physical
the rational
and the supernatural
It’ll be good to go and
arrive on time and in
perfect condition.
no room for doubt or uncertainty
think thiis fine board through the end
It’ll be just fine.
…ambrose…
dont forget the mat and fins.
All of the above are good. An alternative to a day bag inside the air travel bag, is to use camping foam instead of bubble wrap. I found a roll of 3/8" firm foam for about $10 at the discount camping store. It offers much more protection than bubble wrap.
