Looking for some info for a paddler. Should the rocker be flatter, & the bottom have some v in the nose? 10’ or bigger?? I will probably put a neopren deck patch for knee paddling. Thanks in advance for any help.
Here’s one I use - Click the Link - It paddles good…not as fast as my 24’er, but appropriate for its size… It surfs scarry fast… Paul http://www.swaylocks.com/resources/Detailed/342.html
Ray: There are a couple of experienced paddleboard builders here that should help you out as they see you message. There used to be a forum for paddlers over on Mike Eaton’s site, here is a link to get you pointed in that direction. Good luck. Tom S. > Looking for some info for a paddler. Very slick! Kinda looks like a old style gun & I’ll bet it is scary > fast! How did you do the bottom contours & rocker? Thanks, Ray The Bottom: The nose has a chop-cutter rolled vee…The mid-section is pretty flat with rolled rail bevels extending 3" inboard (This was to reduce the rail thickness, to make it surfable, yet still have some paddleboard volume 3.75")…The tail has flat panel vee… The Rocker: I kept it pretty neutral, a balance of low rocker for paddling, yet enough to be loose enough to surf… I used a Clark 12’3" super green blank… Custom-cut so pre shaped blank was 22" wide…Oherwise it’s like 26" or something like that… Paul

I have done a few multy stringers with 2" colored foam & I learned that you have to tell them if you want to hold the width, or the blank gets to wide & mess’s up the outline thickness. Lots of extra planning & softer rail foam.
