i don’t know about “stingray”, but yes, ray IS the bruddah (blood) of herb…i told him i’d post here to exchange some dimensions on a board i have that he showed some interest…okay, where are you ray?

hows trail 5 doin these days still breakin good?. I havent been there in over a year. I may have seen you there just didnt know ya (still dont,LOL) I would go there with Fred (lumpy) and the Sharkman (Chris Uptan) and his two boys, and of course all the usual suspects.
Oh ya… Ray mows my aunt’s yard up in L.B… I met him once he’s a good guy
Mow’s yards and surfs,livin life on his own terms, got to respect that.
I’ve met Herb a few times also… Fred and me would see him at the riv in S.B.
antway when I get back from Hawaii in a few weeks I’ll probly get back down to #5

I have know idea what boards he took to The Sano camp grounds with him ??? He was down there for a week,and called me to come join him ,but family,bla,bla,bla…I never made it down that way.Would have loved to,but I surfed a couple days up here in No.O.C. beaches,for some short sessions.Got some Okay waves.Herb

Okay here’s a ,“FISH OUT OF WATER” story.
Ray was surfing the 2001 surfline contest…or was that the 2000 ?..one of those rigged events…anywho…While Raaaaayge was on the beach waiting for results of his heat…two guys approached his Fish I built for him in the latter 90s and started to handle it.One of the two suspects took out a measuring tape…Ray Asked them what they though they were doing…Caught in the act…they just stammered and studdered…Ray went up, and took his board away from them and told them to get there own dimentions/ templates.
Can you guess who the two were ?
I’ll give up one of them…

The sand bars are hit and… mostly miss at the riv…Not enough rain this year to flush the toilety !!!..UGGGH ! BUT King Koa loves the sand bars inside.
According to Bill Fury and other old timers ,the inside sand bars are bigger than ever seen.
