What is the best type of paint to spray my boards with? Up to now I have only heard about using water based tempra paint. Also, what is the best way to pinline a board? Is there a pinline tape to use, and if so, when in the glassing processes should it be placed? Thanks, JC
JC Not to put you off, but check out the archives. Look under post by Cleanlines Major info on pinlining.
J.c… you can also use acrylic paints (thinned to the consistancy of heavy cream) - through an air brush (always strain the mixture to remove particulate impurities). you can use dyes and inks, too, but remember that many of the different colors have different light “fastness” …in other words, a lot of 'em FADE away! A lot of the folks - here - have turned me on to the benefits of acrylic spray “fixatives” to protect hand done/sprayed “under colors” (pre glassing). “leaner” coats of color seem to give you less problems come glassing time. Hope this was of some help…check the archives, 'eh! T.
