Did a quick search and couldn’t find an answer. I repaired a fairly deep fin gash on my Bill Hamilton longboard rail. Hamilton’s have a beautiful Hawaiian print on the rails and I’m hand painting in the designs (Hawaiian Petrglyphs) over the repair and it looks decent. Will an acrylic craft paint be OK once I put a layer of glass and cloth over it or will it run/smear. Thanks in advance for any help.
Should be fine as long as the color is a pigment. Running a quick test on a peice of wood will let you know for sure.
Would spraying on acrylic clear-coat help at all?
gaucho,
I cover any work I do with paint pens with clear acrylic spray paint. Do the test first, though before you try it on your board. Mike
