Hi there, Another silly question… just know the water acrylic paint best fit on foam surface. However, I go to the hardware paintshop ( in HK ), and could not find this kinda stuff. I did try to ask some paint workman, they did not know what’s it about. Actually, I translate the whole terms into Chinese, may be there’s another different name of it. Here, commonly found the latex paint, enamel paint, emulsion paint, these paints are also water soluable, can I use to paint on foam surface? One day, I went to toys/model shop, I got this stuff~… But the price is really really damn expensive. US$ 10 for a 2 oz paint~… All I need is to whitepaint the foam blank. This stuff may not be a good choice. You guys must have alternative. I m waiting for your answer~… Thanks Crabie

Go to an art suppy store and buy posterboard paint…it comes in 437ml bottles…also called liquid tempera…used for poster art…non-toxic opaque watercolor… hope this helps…
Thanks Jim, I m looking for something that could be used to lay on the foam surface as a background color. Cos I made use wood filler to fill the crack and it left browndish on the surface.>>> Flat latex acrylic, some might bleed, but it will work.

It is important no matter what paint you use to test the color out on a scrap of foam with a little wood filler, spackel, what ever. The spot you patched may take the color differently.
Yup Tuna, I 'll next time.
