paint over RR epoxy

Who here has painted over RR epoxy? I’ve never liked the finished cosmetics of my homedepot EPS board, so I’m thinking of doing a full surftech style paintjob.

What kind of paint will stick well (epoxy paint?), and can I get it in a rattlecan? What about primer? Are there online suppliers? How’s the durability?

I’m betting someone here has done this before, so hopefully someone can help.

If you have access to a compressor and paint sprayer use aircraft or marine quality epoxy paints. Get some vinyl ST(shwuztech) stickers and you are good to go.

I don’t have a compressor and a sprayer… Maybe an airbrush and the outlet from my vac pump?

The only epoxy paint I can find in a rattlecan is appliance paint. Think that would be the ticket? Lets see, do I want almond white, avocado green, or coffee brown?

I think the official color of the monk seal is coffee brown.

I use Dupont Imron. It is a linear polyurethane and is awesome!! They have a series that is brushable. I will try to get the name tommorrow. I used it on the Stingray.
