Im interested in getting a custom sunova or similar of a favourite fish design…Maybe even a stamp indo fish
in carbon perimiter rails.
Anyway im interested in oppinions about the concave decks most of these boards have for flex properties.
The reason im curious is that i have high heels in my feet and would think that i need more of an rolled deck
for better grip or bump in the middle.
So id like to ask if anyone with high arches has tried concave decks what do they think of them compared to standard rolled or flatter decks.
If it does become a problem for high arches, could a bump in the middle, or double concave work better for these people?..
how about ordering a double concave deck? or maybe just make your own board to suit you?
I would think surfing in high heels is probably not the best thing to do…unless the shoes MAKE the outfit…then i understand.
I solved the high arch situation for me by using plastic arch supports in my booties. glued some layers of soft closed cell foam on the bottom of the arch supports shaped them to fit nicely in the bootie. Real comfortable footing now. Solid feeling now on any board. I wear them year round. Michael

It was always my understanding that the accesories make the man! I think it’s all about the handbag & belt Mr. Bizgravy, not the high heels!!

I have never tryed a concaved deck on a surfboard
but the modern skateboards have concaved decks
and I dont like the way they feel
Haha
“high heels”
I dont know how i typed that one :?
Thanks Fellas i think double concave will do the trick.
Looking forward to riding one of those perimiter railed boards…
I’ve seen a few skimboards with a traction pad strip down the middle maybe 3 or 4 inches wide. That might give you good foot placement and give support for your arches?
It provides a stationary support for your arches (or heels haha) just as a double concave deck would have
