i got this putty at ace hardware yesterday and they had some gel type stuff too was wonderin if this would be ok for dings or if i should order a ding kit

Same stuff, works well and it even works under water, so the ding doesn’t have to be completely dry, but to make a complete seal it needs to be glassed over.
It comes out opaque, is the only problem. I keep it in my travel kit, but if I have to use it, I grind it out & do a real repair when I get home. I’ve done beachside repairs with it by finding a rough rock the right shape to ‘sand’ the loose parts of the ding out & then filled with that putty…
