So, I currently ride a 9’5" “glider” style longboard. I’m looking to get something better suited for noseriding, but as I surf a beach break with shorter sections I’m thinking I need something semi-maneuverable to be able to get into position quicker. and something that will work well 1’-6’. i was thinking sonething like the proctor or hobie performance noseriders. can anybody tell me if thats what i need? or if what im looking for even exists or if its just hopefull wishing? thanks.
Consider an eps/epoxy HPLB with an 18" nose with concave, and no hard edges in the tail. Mine have long, double concaved vee bottoms with rolled vee out the back and they work good in the waves you describe here in NJ.
