Here’s my new Stretch Quad:
7’7"x21 3/8"x2 7/8"
2lb Marko EPS foam – 6oz. bottom 4/6oz deck
It’s very very light.
It’s the best high performance board I’ve ever surfed!
If anyone has any questions I’d be glad to try and answer them.
Stay Stoked, Rich

Can we see some shots of those fins? They look pretty big, but that may be the camera angle. If you don’t mind, I would like to know the dimensions of those suckers. Looks like fun. Enjoy it.
thanks for the photos Rich !
It’s a little bit hard to tell…are they lokboxes , the finboxes ?
and was that a sprayed blank , or a tint job ?
did you glass it too ?
I look forward to reading how it rides , and if you have tried it with different fin setups ?
cheers
ben
Turbojets & Chipsfish61,
The board was done in Stretch’s factor start to finish. All I gave him was the three spec. dimensions in the first post in this thread. He did his own thing from there.
Unfortunately I have to bring the pixel size down so much to attach the photos that the detail and size is depleted badly. The board is spackled and spray painted then glassed with clear R.R. epoxy.
If there’s a way to post better quality photos at this site clue me in. My camera takes real nice photos but I can’t post them here very well with the knowledge that I have.
I have some very nice photos of the fins if anyone is interested.
Note: Fin dimensions are very misleading simply because template outline variance extends to infinity at any fin depth.
The lead fins are my poly, Driftless template done in a helical form with double foiled leading edges set at 5 degrees.
Trailers are carbon/epoxy Whiteside template symetrically foiled with concaves worked in behind fin draft on both sides of the fin – set at 2 degrees.
All overcambered fin drafts (vertical cords) are at about 25% off the leading edge. Future Fin System renains the one of choice for me for many reasons.
This is the most dynamic board I’ve ever ridden. Every time I give it all I have in the critical part of the wave is seems to shrug and say, “Well, is that all you got? We could have gone three times that fast!”
Mahalo, Rich
good stuff ,. thanks Rich !
if you like you could send a fin or two by email to me , and I’ll “try” to get them a bit bigger for you .
but this new 30kb or whatever attachment size limit has got me pretty well beat too, gotta admit . (One of the reasons why I don’t attach NEARLY as many photos as I used to [was that a sigh of relief from mike I heard in the background then ?] )
cheers
ben
…I will ‘pm.’ you my email address , if you would like to try it that way , Rich ? cheers mate .
Hi Rich
First, the quad looks like a nice winter board!
Regarding the photos:
Go to Photobucket.com and open an account. They’ll host your photos for free. Then have a couple browser windows open at the same time. Open up the image in photo bucket, right click and hit copy (or click/copy, whatever.) Then go to your message box over here at swaylocks and paste. You get the full size image with no size restrictions. I haven’t figured out any drawbacks, and it saves a lot of time from constantly resizing to get down to the 30s. I tried this same technique on ofoto (kodakphotoshare) and it didn’t work.
Pat
it may be an unrelated photo , pat …but i just want to try out what you said …
let’s see if THIS works ??? [from “photobucket” , as per your suggestions [600 x 800 is the image limit for a 15" screen , according to them , by the way …I have NO idea what that translates to in “kb” size though …anyone , please ??]
cheers
ben
here goes then …
sheeit …
doesn’t work with mozilla , or what ??
[no “paste” option , and only a “copy image” option , not a copy option …hmmmm… now i remember why i didn’t do it before …damn …
does it have to be using "windows " only , or something ?? [forgive my complete computer “gumbyness” …]
