Hey Paul, wherabouts in Portugal were you ?

Started in Lisboa, south to Milfontes, further south to Arifana, eventually out to the Azores…

Poobah, Where da ya git 1/2 inch cork ? Ahui hou- Wood_Ogre I need it ! I want it! I gotta have it!!!
I got 3’ x 4’ x 1/2" sheets from a company that sells tile and flooring supplies. The cork sheet is used as an underlayment. They also had 1/4" and 3/4" sheets. I also bought some sheets on Ebay that were 3’ x 2’ x 1/2" …so maybe they were half sheets?
Wood_Ogre, my suggestion would be to get someone in the flooring biz to buy it for you at the supply store. If you know any flooring guys, or maybe some Swaylocker near you can help you get a good price on the cork.
any feedback on how much traction you actually get from cork paul?
is it a legitimate alternative to wax?
EVA isnt that grippy on its own, but when you get heaps of grooves and bumps it works well. some of the grips on SUPS are really thin like cork but they seem to work well.
Id love to try it if i can find it locally.
beats paying $50 for an over engineered piece of coloured rubber made in china.
