okay , following up on a comment by him in the “sways coffeee table book” thread …
"Shwuz’s suggestion of a section at the back with the exif data is an excellent one. Don’t need a huge amount of detail, just the important bits as suggested (of course, if one is shot on film it would mean the photog sending the details for you to include)
I’m a bit of a shutterbug myself and it’s always nice to see what settings were used - especially as it aids the learning process. It could make for more and better photos for next year’s issue as the casual photogs among us (many I would think) can start to see how to take better pictures should they want to step up their game a little. "
to get the ball rolling …
[these were taken with an old pentax [the sp1000] and an equally old 400mm lens]
1/30 sec at f11 , 400 lens , 100 iso film … Wade [surfer]
next …“unknown”
1/60 sec at f22 , 400 lens , 400iso film
[it is a manual lens , so shutting down the aperture this much means almost shooting "in the dark " …even more so with f32?! the focus is difficult at times … the zone method is what i rely on sometimes !]
1 / 1000 f 6.3 [yep, it’s an OLD lens !!]…
1/500 f 6.3 100iso film 400 lens …Wade , tubed …
1/ 500 f 6.3 , Wade again …
… I’m hoping that maybe others will post up their shots and cameras / exposures here , and that this becomes an informative thread for people ?
… cheers !
