A number of years ago, someone posted about getting any photo or whatever printed on transparent acetate(?) at Kinko’s then squeegeeing out face down on still we epoxy. When the epoxy had fully set, they peeled off the acetate and the picture had been cleanly transferred to the epoxy and only needed a thin gloss to preserve.
I tried this at the time and could not make it work. Anybody here now done this or tried it? I would love to have it work for me…
Ive actually seen this done in boat building before with lettering. It was waxless tracing paper i believe. They printed the photo onto this paper and let it bake in the UV to dry the ink as best they could. The next day they had it glassed in using West System and the Fast hardener with a little additive of some sort. Maybe similar to additive F? When i asked about it it was for sanding purposes. The paper they printed on is acid soluable and dissolves right into the West System leaving the ink behind.
Not sure if this is exactly the same as what you are looking to achieve, just thought i should share.

Not the same but sounds better in some ways. Thanks!
