The images I’ve tried to scan from books and magazines always have some sort of ghostly ‘pattern’ - I forget the name of that(?)
In any case, photographed images from books and magazines don’t seem to have that problem… maybe a tiny bit of a concentric circle thing going in that one of Midget (to the right of his left elbow) but not nearly as bad as the distortion I get from a scanner.
Any ideas on how to work around that?
It’s called “moire”. My scanning software has a descreen function that eliminates it. It allows me to choose which media I scan and sets the descreen for that type…such as newspaper, magazine, art magazine, etc. I don’t know what you have for a scanner, or your software. But try to find a descreen option in there.
I do not see any funny artifacts in that Midget pic. But, right now I’m on my laptop and not my main rig.
