(photos ) how your boards ride .....

Ben, Here is the link to the latest pics of my new river board with me test driving it last Saturday. Big Surftech promo event going on at same time, hence the photogs, was great to be on a board that was catching waves way way before any Surftechs piloted by pro’s could!

I like the paint.

Here is a pic to keep Chip’s post from getting stale. I’ll post more recent stuff tomorrow.

Everyone post more pics! My sanity at work depends on it…

cheers for that mate !

It’s good to see how the boards people have made work , I reckon !

ben

Great stuff folks. Hope my new toys work as well for me.

Ben when are you going to put up some pics of this list of maneuvers?

“the rocket launcher”

“the cannonball”

“the lip launch”

“the belly flop”

“the face plant”

“the rock lobster dive”

'the stink bug "

When I get back from Socal ( about two weeks) I 'll be able add my own versions of some of these and the

infamous “back splat” and the “one footed booby” tricks, which I should have worked out to perfection by then.

Somebody HAS to have a pic of you riding one of your boards. Hey, if nothing else stuff your camera in your wet suit and pull it out while surfing and get a pic while you ride. ;^)>

"Hey, if nothing else stuff your camera in your wet suit and pull it out while surfing and get a pic while you ride. "

last time I pulled it out and took a photo of it , I nearly got arrested . [Mind you , that wasn’t in cold water winter… [when] " there’s nothing to see here folks , keep on moving along !"]

[seriously for a sec, though…people here have probably seen too many shots of me on my boards here over the years , I’d rather see shots of OTHER’S boards in action !]

…come on , Josh , Cheater5 , ‘Wildy’ , fatbaslardass , others …post 'em up here ! [ “Lavz”, I have shots of you , do you want me to put them up here ?]

cheers !

This first photo is me on my first stand up. Made from plywood in 1965. The photo was taken at South Avalon on Sydneys North’n beaches.

The second photo is the latest of me surfing. Taken by Kay at Bonny Hills, Sth of Port Macquarie two days ago. Kay also made her return to the surf after a 4 month lay off. Suffice to say she was pretty stocked. Bit slack no photos. But we do have some photos of her return to the water after her previous big lay off. See photo three. Crescent Head beach break. platty.

My favorite longboard in my quiver.

great stuff foamdust! pigdogging a mal through the tube is SO much fun!

Here are two photos of me on my fish. crappy surf but meh. it’ll do till i get better ones of bigger day.

Still was fun to get in the water. That was me when i had my long hair :frowning:

The brown board is a pre-clark foam closure polyurethane/polyester 5-10 retro fish. glassed and mostly designed by me but shaped by another swaylocks member. the orange one is a 6-0 swallow tail epoxy. I did everything on this one, starting from hotwiring the blank - actually I wish it started there. Starting from drawing the rocker and foil curves and making a template to use for hotwiring the blank. I love both boards. just finished a purple 5-8 retro fish too that I rode a couple days ago in 2-3’ Windansea. Really fun. It’s EPS epoxy also but I used up some old left-over polyester surfacing resin for the hotcoat 'cus I’m so cheap. Made it a little cloudy, but that’s ok. It helps to hide my squiggily pinstriping. No pics riding that one.

Man, posting images for the first time was tricky. I actually had to read the instructions!

here’s a closeup pic of orange board
