Pictures first Board

Thing may not look great, but it works good !!! #1 mistake outline near tail I pulled too much and was too late I cut out the blank already. Last time I cut out so fast. Maybe that funny tail outline adds to why it works so good.

#2 mistake- the tail is too thick, #3 the nose has a 70’s beak on it.

This one glassed by a company.

Better too thick than too thin!

I have a 6’8" x 20.5 tri fin that floats me Bbutton 3" below water level! And, I weigh 152 lbs.!

a very wise swaylockian once said to me “measure twice, cut once”…and it’s so true.

Looks good to me! Rocker is nice and smooth…thats proly why it works well…and maybe fin setup too…Im with Lee, you’ll like the thickness in average surf

well done dorian !

that’s my kind of thruster…I’d ride that, for SURE !

I think thick tailed boards are fun…

Dronai - don’t worry your board looks great, you enjoy shapping it right, so it’s worth that experience in itself, and more importantly it works great so the fun continues in the surf, plus you get that added bonus of knowing that you made that board, how many surfers are there out there (lots) and how many can say that they have come close to what you have experienced in making your board (not as many) every one make mistakes and no matter how experienced you get there will always be things you want to improve upon with the next board, shapping is a canstant learning process, any mistakes are just valuable learing experiences, so just keep up the good work.
