you need to search posts from “spindler” and “spitzer”

here’s a couple good ones…

ere did Mark Spindler go?

he’s recovering from Swaylocks…

and enjoying every minute I’m sure…

Hey Janklow,

Mark Spindler is still around but mostly is in “lurking” mode. Send him a PM. He’s got a lot of info on his superchargers. HTH

Cheers,

Rio

Thanks, Rio

Here you go, made and installed by me, so might not be in the exact spot, but they do make a difference, definately. I have not taken them out sice i put them in. My fish turns sharper, especially off the top ( when im surfing good, im not that skilled hahaha ). And paddles easier too.

Those are more like Herb’s superchargers than multi-vortex generators that Mark made.

even then those are pretty honking big and more like the twinzer style fins than what herb was doing with his little superchargers.

The MVG sits infrom of the center fin to clean up waterflow around the double foiled fin while Herb’s superchargers cleans up the water flow around the outside of the single foils outside fins. I belive Rusty’s C5 concept was a copycat of herb’s ideas.

placement of these things is real critical to make them work properly

i noticed that too…

hey, that tail end looks good… looks like you can clean up the smoothness of the glass a lil bit

i can’t seem to find any pictures of MVGs anywhere… AH!

hmmm…

Big Rick- I obtained some Mvg’s from Rainbow Supply in Melbourne not too long ago. He should still have some and they are not very expensive.

Florida or Australia? Link? Pics, possibly?

here you go

I can’t find the pics I saved off but these will do:

Janklow- That is melbourne FL. My bad. I will try to get some more info on that for you. Rainbow is actually a wholesale distributor so you can’t order from them directly.

For the record, that red “Mokarran” single with the fish in it has found a home on my 8’0"x21.25" Freeline Speed Platter. I’m running little rail fins on the board to help it climb and drop along the wave face better. Set-up and board works great in many different conditons but likes some juice best.

Mahalo, Rich.

Hi Guys,

If someone manages to get a wholesale order together through rainbow, please let me know via PM. I’d be interested in getting a few of the MVG’s.

Thanks!

Pat

i would not mind either…

i actually wanna get some canard fins and a few MVGs to set up a few people with…

surf sensi, you order through rainbow???

i’m gonna send you a PM with my number so you can call me…

i’m in orlando and will be getting my truck back next week so i can drive where ever when and if you place your order

Big Rick- Your best bet would be to Go to Natural Art surf shop and order it through them. That’s mainly because Pete Dooley will know what an MVG is, which isn’t likely at other shops. I kind of got through a back channel but I know that the guys at Rainbow don’t like doing the bro deal as a rule.

Sorry Guys,

Been a very busy week ! Oldest graduated from elementry school, parties(none that I wanted to attend, but required my presence).

On top of…an electrically short in my circuit breakers…can you say ,“TOO MUCH DRIER LINT !!!”.This and the pilot light on my waterheater going out several times…cold showers work, but they suck …can you say,“TOO MUCH DRIER LINT !!!”…LOL…!!!It was like a Poltergest in my home for a week…but the ghosts found out that I’m scarry-er that they were…so the fled !!

Well…now that …that tradedy is over…lol…Superchargers…okay !!!

Got… like 30 sets of tabbed jobs to go in the mail.

I have… Discontinued the glueons all together. After several Feedbacks…I have come to the concensious that you can’t get the base of the charger stiff enough with glueons…reason…the board’s glass surface flexes too much, creating inconsistancy.

I however… am totally 100% confident in my tabbed SCs…without a doubt.

Ask SK…I think he saw me ride.Herb

Following up on Rainbow Distributing, Their website is www.rdistributing.com. They are wholesale only but you should be able to contact them to see if they still carry the MVG’s.

Here is a link showing and explaining the increased use of VGs in aviation.
