"Pig" inspired longboard

I posted the genesis of that new board in another thread but can’t seem to find it out, so here is the following. Sorry for those who have already seen the first shots.

To use Lob’s words: “In the beginning was a 9’5” Surfoam blank…"

…that I templated and cut with Dale VELZY’s Pig in mind:

Then I went on to shape it, trying to keep most of the volume backwards while still maintaining a nice curve throughout:

Glassing, 6 oz bottom with yellow tinted resin and a fin patch:

…and 2 x 6 oz clear top. Here, the board is in the hot coat stage:

Yesterday in the evening I routed out fin-box/fins-plugs holes:

To be followed…

“To be followed…” *

lucky you …french girls fill my dreams at night …

oops ! brain fart …

what I meant to say is :

"nice YELLOW board billy ".

Now , when will you make a different coloured board , I wonder , bananaman ?

(oh heck …now I’m starting to sound like my nemesis , Stubs ! )

ben
  • "to be CONTINUED , Billy ! " … [but I won’t get anal over it eh ? ]

hey ben you’re so right about french girls, some friends of mine and me did a survey at lacanau plage a few years back. Here are the results:

Godesses…5%

Stunners…90%

Mingers…5%

There were none that fitted into the average category.

I think there must be a law or summatin france, whereby it’s pretty much illegal to go to the beach unless youre fully gorgeous and have perky tits…

Ben, as I was driving the kids to school, I kept thinking something was wrong in my thread. Suddenly, it hit me like lightning: of course! “To be continued”, not “to be followed”… The mistake (for which I do apologize) is what we call “faux amis” (“false friends”?) since, in French, “to be continued” translates to “à suivre”, “suivre” being “to follow”. I think I was still sleeping, somehow, being up at 5:00 AM this morning…

Silverback, the reason why your friends saw only 5% godesses in Lacanau is because I keep the remaining 95% here at home in Guéthary…

I just love your boards!

Yours aren’t bad either, UncleD… Thanks a lot, anyway.

Things are not going as fast as I would like but I finally managed to wet-sand the board after pinlining and glossing. That’s how it looks like right now. I’ll try and fine-sand then polish today…
