pigment ratio..

Hi there, I just mixed half teaspoon yellow color pigment into 5 oz volume epoxy resin. The result came it didnot cover fully the background white foam color, the white foam still could be seen. As the second layer, I made it as 3/4 teaspoon, the result was not so good. Is there any formula/ratio to mix it? I just want to make one layer with color pigment. As the supplier told me not to add so much into resin but they dont know the exact figure. Thanks. Crabie

Crabie: Sounds like you are using pigments for tinting. Try bulking up your tint mixture with some white pigment for an opaque effect. Mix and test on piece of printed material (newspaper or magazine). Try to get to the point where the type is not visible through the pigment/resin mix.
