OK so i am a new shaper, and i am a bodyboard shaper, cuz i dont surf. So i found all the materials(nigh impossible) to make quite a few boards. But the foam i can order for this project is VERY thick, abut 5 inchesX52longX25wide. There was no way a handshaper, even a surfform would take off THAT much. SO i adverted to the planer, a firly common tool. SO i have herad some mixed messages about these. I have heard the Bosch 1594 is awesome, and i have hear that the makita
KP0810 is good too. But i have also heard that the hitachi P20SBK is awesome too. I Want one that has modding ability, somthing with a handle mod and a center/vertical exhaust mod that i could do, just becasue i am a basement shaper, so i really need that.
Also any links to tutorials on those mods would be awesome, just so i know what is involved
