hey guys i’ve been using a surform for a while now and i want to upgrade to a planer. i have been looking at these two planers:

first off, which one should i get?
secondly, the max cut depth for these is 1/16" for the first one and 1/32" for the second one. so how do i mod the cut depth so that i can shape more efficiently? also what other mods should i do? is there a ‘planer mod how to’ thread that i missed while searching or a website? any help/ suggestions would be greatly appreciated! thanks, cam
