Please give images more descriptive titles

To my esteemed colleagues who use the little camera icon in the editor bar to add images to their posts, I have a favor to ask: Please read the image submission guidelines.

When you submit an image using the camera icon, it also adds the
image to the Swaylock’s image library. This image library can be
perused in the new and improved Swaylopedia and thus out of context
from it’s original location in the discussion forums. By providing your
images a title (and description) you’ll be including meta information
about the image that will make it far more useful to others.

Many of you are providing very short titles for your images, such as “Board” and “15” and “Gina.” While can understand the impulse for doing this, please consider providing information that could be helpful to other members who view the image out of context.

Thanks,

Mike

And while we’re at it, more accurate and descriptive post titles would also help.  Titles like “problem” or “what do you think?”, don’t inspire me to open and respond.

How about “my board turned out like a piece of crap, can you fix it for me?” for a title.

“My SURFBOARD turned out like a piece of crap, can you fix it for me?”  would be better.  Yeah?
