2) Stick to the topics of the various forums.
The topic of the general discussion forum is the following:
"Questions & answers, thoughts & theories on all aspects of surfcraft
including practical & theoretical design, tools & materials,
construction tips & techniques, and surfcraft history."
Nowhere in that description is the topic of POLITICS or RELIGION. That is not to say politics or religion doesn’t enter into the topic of surfboard design and construction. For example, we’ve seen how local building/zoning codes can impact the surfboard construction industry. And everybody knows being in the ocean, feeling the power of the waves can be a religious experience.
If you plan to start a POLITICAL or RELIGIOUS discussion, please make it painfully clear how it relates to the topic of this forum. If you can’t, please don’t start the thread or make the response. Please save it for one of the thousands of other forums where that is main topic.
I am asking the moderators to be extra vigilant of and more tight reined about OFF TOPIC threads.
Thanks for your understanding,
Swaylock
