Plotting spin templates & rocker profiles

This question goes out to any computer “techies” that I hope can help me.  This is my 1st post to the Swaylocks forum, but I’ve been reading and using the great advice for awhile now.Last week I downloaded BoardCAD v2.1 and have inputted a couple of my boards but am having toruble plotting outlines or profiles as described below.

I shape 3-4 boards (SUP,Kite-surf, &
Windsurf) a year for personal consumption & would like to become
more accurate by plotting the spin templates & profiles full size to
use on the blanks.

I’m not very savvy technologically & my computer equip is
old(computer is Windows XP w/service packs, & my plotter is an old
HP Design-jet 600 with a 24"wide roll of continuous paper).

I recently tried to plot one of my designs (outline, Spin template,
& rocker profile) but with no luck. When I set up the print
settings, the paper size doesn’t offer a large enough size or for a
continuous roll, so it plots small pages with little sections(no
complete dwg.). I even tried to print them as PDF’s with no luck. From
this site, I also tried saving them as dxf’s an opened with a CAD
program(Draftsight) but I don’t know how to print/plot from that.

Can anyone offer me detailed
directions on how to plot my designs full size (outline, spin
template, rocker profile, etc…) on my existing equipment? Any help would
be greatly appreciated.

Also, I have an unrelated question. Under the Render tab, there is a
“Load Airbrush” command. How does that work? I’ve clicked it and nothing
happens or changes. Can this be used to apply graphics to the design?

Oh man – easiest way to print these is on a plotter.

If you don’t have easy access to one, go to Kinkos, it will cost you between 5 and 10 dollars depending on how you can convince the counter person to charge it…

Here's  what you need http://www2.swaylocks.com/node/1024230 Uses Aku to generate full size template on plotter--no taping 8.5x11 sheets together.

Thanks for replying. I don’t know if your familiar, but the HP Designjet 600 that I own is a plotter and mine is loaded with a 24" wide continuous roll of paper. I just can’t figure out how to set up the software ot plot full size. Can you help with that?

Thanks for getting back to me. I hadn’t heard of the Aku software. Is it a free software like BoardCAD? Does it have similar features?

I’ll look into it and get back to you if I have any more questions.
