Procedure:
Epoxy (use Greg’s Resin Research Epoxy + Additive F):
**there is an article in the resources section that tells you everything you could ever want to know about RR Epoxy…search for it, and make it your new bible.

glass – same stuff, just less of it. with poly, i’d always do a 10 oz volan bottom + tail patch, 10 oz volan + 6 oz silane deck. since switching to epoxy, i now do 6 oz bottom + tail patch, 6+6 oz deck, sometimes with deck patch (depending on board). using too heavy of a glass job takes away the flexibility that makes epoxy so great for longboards.
lam – rather than working it through the cloth like you do with poly, you more or less let the cloth absorb the resin and then work out the air bubbles. a plastic spreader is the best tool. wetting out the laps is a little tricky. read up on it.
hotcoat – brush it on.
gloss – (optional) – exactly the same as hotcoat. extra layer of resin allows you to get a nicer polish effect. i always gloss.
