yep , pascal [capetown and london and paris and now perth , west australia resident !] hit the big 40 last week . he escaped to an “overseas island” [tried to keep it quiet , eh mate?1]
now 10,000 + people know …isn’t the internet public , eh ? hahahhh
he [and eno [‘sandgroper’] aren’t here at sways much any more , so here’s some ol’ ‘tribute’ photos , so you can remember what they look like …and ride …[a lot of these shots disappeared from photobucket when i started a new acccount]
cheers !
ben
pascal [‘popeye’] on the left … eno [‘sandgroper’] , right …
it’s a wee bit hard to believe ian is a scientist , a pilot , and a teacher [as well as a ??responsible?? father ] , when he regularly exhibits THIS kind of behaviour eh ?!
[ that’s my 7’er eno has …he normally rides around a 6’6 thruster]
at the moment , the water temperature is still around 20 degrees C , but summer has just finished now … mind you , yesterday’s air temp was nearly 38 degrees [about 98 F , for the dinosaurs ]
Aus switched to the metric system in the 60’s, so only ahem older people use degrees fahrenheit, inches etc, i think that’s what he meant by dinosaur.
Im a tradesman working in a steelworks, where most of our equipment is very old, or imported, so inches etc is no worries for me, but temperature always gets me confused.
If I had it my way the “english” system would not exist. Metric/SI units make my life at least 10 times easier. The only thing inches and feet are useful for are surfboard dims
Saw the fish you posted, didnt think it was ugly, liked the spray job. I guess pics might not do it justice though. Did you get those fins from Larry?
Hey Chip, yes, grown men up to no good! (…lying down on the job…)
So popeye is 40! Say hi to him for me, and I I’m glad that twinny still gets an outing…surprised you have’nt don him a "favour and turned it into a 7finner …
