With a wide tail, I think modern pigs should be quads.

Alright, tomorrows Sunday all day,  got to get these 2 9'3" out of stationary dry hump(ing) and in the surf!  It's incoming tide, knee to waisthigh, light winds, and sunny conditions...OINK!

Here's my effort.........9'7" x 25" x 3"

Jim The Genius Phillips shaped this 10’ pig for me.  Works magnificently in summer east coast waves.  I’ve surfed it from Atlantic Beach, NC to Beach Haven, NJ and many places in between.  Jim’s board’s always exceed my expectations in terms of both craftsmanship and rideability.  He nailed it again with this one.  Thanks Jim.

Nice topic…

10-1 Phillips Pig:

1965ish Gordie SemiPig (check out the cutaway D-fin):

Hey dave, great stuff. I reckon a modern pig would work sweet in the small beachies i surf. I hope to use my pig template next year.

Great looking boards. To me, they look way better than the "normal" wide round nose, then narrow tail LB's.

yes mate… great sm-all rounder longy.

tweeking the rails has been so much fun, watching them in the water etc.

Howzit Dave, Great looking board and I believe.Aloha,Kokua

Ace, does the "malo..." have the step deck?

Mike

Yes

Not as 'piggy' as some but wide point/volume aft.  11'6" - modern tail with down rails and a slight single concave accelerator pedal about 1/2 step up from turning position.

Ace, nice outline on yours.  Would you mind sharing the outline dimensions?  nose, mid, WP, tail?  thanks.

All the best, Greg

Dimensions? I never measure em. I have a old template i got from “famous old shaper” it had marks on it for the nose and tail. He said make em about 23" wide so thats what I do.

I have one returning from the Glasser soon I will put a ruler on it.
