Sorry to computer tech out.
I had been doing some more panel testing (finally) and found my thread in shambles as all the images I posted using the “upload” button were no longer working I assume server space is not infinite so I’m guessing eventually some are dropped. (I had them sized reasonably)
90% of my stuff is visual and photo based and anything I write makes no sense unless you look at the photos. Also 90% of my photos are taken using my phone, so it’s super easy to just dump them on a site like flickr using the phones built in function but getting them to swaylocks using the image link tool is less than intuitive. There is likely an easier way to do this but a quick search turned up nothing. So here’s how I did it. Which took me a bit of time to figure out.
First off, use chrome, for me iexplorer would oftentimes crash when going to the swaylocks image window pops up.
1.Press the image button as shown
- That pops up this window below
- Open your picture from your flickr account click the share button (circled in red) Click on BBCcode (bold) , select appropriate image size (I like medium) and copy the URL (highlighted in grey)
- Paste the link into the swaylocks URL in the area shown
- Delete the shit you don’t need. Basically there is a little bit of shit on the front, then a bunch of shit at the end. you want to keep thelink associated with the .jpg (the stuff in bold below)
A typical copy and paste will look like this, you want to keep the stuff in bold
easiest way is to go to the end and hold delete till you it the .jpg then go to the front and kill that other thing.
Dumping the stuff in bold into the URL is what created this entire post.
Sorry about the trippy effect of posting an image of my post in the same post…that kinda stuff can get outta hand.
Someone else can chime in with the easy way…but hopefully some flickr users might find this helpful.
If not it will remind me the next time I need to do it.
