Okay we all know the Skill 100 is the tool of choice but I’d like to hear from everyone who uses something different or when the Skill takes a dive what do you use in it’s place? Also sander/polisher - I prefer my Milwaukee 5460-6 what else? So let’s hear it:

Currently I use a Bosh as the depth knob is easy to access with your front hand. Now, as for the orbital sander, I would say the Boss Dog of the Underground circuit would be the Milwaukee 6078. Has a variable speed trigger – dial stop setting to limit upper RPMs to desired level. Turns 0 to 6000 RPMs. Its like having 3 sanders in one. May have some limitations in a high production environment – particularly with a lot of slow speed sanding. However, If you are going to have only one sander – this is it. Shine
I have it all ,but prefer my P-20SB PRO,with my modifications to it,next would be my BOSCH in a close second. Then my un-SKILL-100…Sanders,again I won’t die sanderless.I have the best, but my favorite is my $40.00 dollar cheapo from Harbor Freight Tools. It’s the yellow bodied 7"-er sander/polisher…I bought 3 thinking THAT THEY WOULD BURN OUT QUICKLY ,but I’m still with the first one ,and I haven’t even changed the brushes yet.THIS IS MY #1 SANDER.Herb.

Then I have a Power Kraft 7.0 amp for power mowin’ and of course I also have the disposable razor–the Hitachi Pro Model. I like them all and still looking for a cheap un-Skil 100. The Bosch looks like a good one and so does the Virutex. I think some of us should try some new ones and post a survey here on Sway’s. If someone compiles a list of good prospects I will buy a couple different ones and give my report on them. Let me know if anyone wants to try this out.
