two cents:
day before yesterday
I decided that black wouldn’t do it
I needed opaque white as I was
applying label over dark blue swirlly.
so I got out the rice paper,
the screen, and the waterbase ink
I wanted to get it done in an hour
so I had to quick dry the screend
labels (logo) on rice paper
I often use waxed paper on cloth
but was concerned about
wax interference with bond
to glass and resin…
Point being heat I use an Iron
turned up real high and I ironed
from the back of the papre first
then flipped it over and heat dried
on the ink side
there have been times I was worried
about thick ink on the paper and
I sanded the ink with fine sand paper
like 150 grit … never used u’v’
always use catalyst and resin
thick brushed under
put down label on rice paper
then thick resin over then
glass and carefully hydraulic
out the excess with a flexy
yellow plastic squeegee.
when some thin works well
stick with it new paper new ink
the test time is a bear
do overs are costl yto the sense
of flow and can result in
throwing ya off for a week.
…ambrose…
condolences…
I spent this morning acetone wiping down a
weird gloss failure. Then I sanded it off before
I built a fire and cooked a great turky on the barbecue
smoked oak with Yam and pineapple.
…
sometimes yiou just gotta walk away
the board was due today.
maybe tomorrow…
