I have been printing my logo’s on an inkjet printer for the last three years and would like to have them professionally done. Anyone know where to have that done? I contacted my local screen printing shops but they just deal in cloth products and wouldn’t take the job. I’m in the northeast so the closer the better but anywhere will do…Thanks!
I get mine printed at Kinko’s on the color lazer printer: nice color, crisp lines, not too expensive and so far the toner pigments seem to hold up to UV much, much better than inkjet.
My logo’s have some white in them. Does the laser printer print white, what I don’t like about the inkjet is that the white areas don’t print and are therefore clear when glasssed? The inkjet logos kind of wash out over paint on the board. Do the laser logos washout or do they remain crisp over the graphics?
one of the guys I work with screenprints lams, if you want a quote email me the art.
Hey man, If you only have a one color logo, I recommend going to your local art supply store and checking out the entry-level silk screening kits, I think they cost like 30-50 bucks, it’s a little challenging, but the results are pretty pro once you get the hang of it. Just gotta follow the directions… nothing as hard as building boards, but more than one color and it gets pretty tricky. -Carl
I was in your situation and taught myself to silkscreen. Pretty easy, even got into two color stuff. I used local resources and had them supply a frame and burn a ton of my logos on it. I bought acrylic enamel ink, a squeegee, and solvent and went to work. I could bang out a couple hundred logos in one evening. It’s the best way to get nice popping whites as well. I did my own logos up until a few years ago, but because of the other demands of a growing business, it became cost-effective to sub it out. Good Luck.
