PU blanks (2nds) in Sorrento Valley

Say this this morning and just got a call back:

This is a new blank operation that isn’t selling broadly, but has seconds for sale cheap. I talked to a guy named Gary and he says that he has 6’2" and 6’7"R blanks with an unacceptable level of voids that would need to be filled before glassing. He says the foam has a walker like density. The price is $50 or $40 without the stringer (split or unsplit). Sounded like he might give a break for 20+.

I got one a little over a week ago. The guy was really nice, and open about the blanks and didn’t try to hide anything. I got a 6’2"C type one and shaped a stringerless fish out of it. It shaped really easy, cleaned up nice. I am in the middle of glassing it right now, and will have some pictures later.

Cool, that’s enough to convince me to buy a few.

Sorry about the late reply, I finished my fish about 3 weeks ago, but i’ve been really busy, so I couldn’t get any pictures of it on here.

Anyway, here it is. It’s 5’7" stringerless, semi-opaque pale yellow tint top and bottom, tapered cut laps, paint pinline on the bottom, and Gephart fins. The bottom is flat with concave starting 1/3 up and going out through the tail. Its glassed double 4 oz. on the deck and single 6 oz. on the deck, glossed and polished.

here are some more pics, and some of my new bonzer I shaped, (Moonlight did an amazing job glassing it)
