Pulling it in?

I read that pulling in the tail makes the board hold better in hollow waves. But what it the benefit of pulling in the nose? I’m also interested in getting an all-around board. This is what I have in mind for some dimensions. 9’-6" x 17 1/4" x 22 1/2" x 14 1/4" x 3. What should I do? Pull in the nose, tail, or leave it alone? Thanks, Michael

sounds good to me…

Thanks, > Michael Hi Mike, I think a board this size it going to hold in fin regardless of whether the tail is 13 or 15 It will just surf differently depending on tail, rail, and fin configurations. 9’6" is allot of length for the water to run on so holding is not so much of an issue as how you want the board to act as far as I’m concerned. The specks above look quite good I don’t see any reason to change them at all. Good Surfin’, Rich

if you’re surfing hollow waves i wouldnt go so long. you have a much better chance of stuffing it on a steeper, fast wave with that extra 6 inches or so. unless you play around with rocker a bit. -steve
