First time shaper question: Does the Canard quad setup require a special lok box, or is there only one type of lockbox? Any hints on fin placement and toe-in?
At this time there is only one regular Lokbox, and one C-5 miniature Lokbox. The quads use the regular box. A new medium sixed box should be available by fall. Fin placement is 5 1/2 " up for rear fins, and 11" up for front fins. All 4 are 1 3/8ths from the rail, with 1/8th" toe-in.
Thanks a million. To clarify, is that to say that the back edge of the front and rear fin boxes are 11" and 5 1/2" from the tip of tail of the board, respectively? And that the back edge of the fin boxes are each 1 3/8" from the rail?
The box has 4 fin adjustment lines on each end. The centering device that comes with the jig puts the second line from the end(thicker one) on the shapers dot (see pic)
1 and 3/8ths from the rail would refer to the vertical center of that second line. Thanks
