quad fin set out advice

I know this has been talked about before, but my new project a wide, thick, low rockered quad, i need some help on witch way i should go with fin placement. board dims, 6’0’'x22x2 7/8. wide nose with rounded pin. do i go standard green light dims , or mckee . fins choice is either DVS quad fins or Rainbow fin comp RNF fins have the big front fin with small rear.

try the mckee setup if you want something different

Only you can decide the answer to this one.  Shape the board and let the curves of the board tell you where to put them.  Forget the formulas and everything else.  What’s right for one shape will not be right for another.

With a board that short with that width, I'd set the front fins 1 1\8 off the rail and the rear 1 1\2. McKee keeps the back fins closer to the stringer which is great but with tis board I'd keep them out a little.

Ask a dozen people, you’ll get a dozen answers.

Fronts 1 1/8" off the rail rears 1" off the rail.

Fronts at about 11" rears at about 5".

Fronts toed 1/4" over 4 1/2" rears 1/8" over 4 1/2".

Or pretty close to that… I like 'em on the rail.
