Quad fin tail design

Is there or what tail design works best with a quad fin.

you could use the twin pin tail .It’s made for down the line very hollow waves

I was wondering the same thing for a swallow tail design. For example the double bumps on a Pavel speed dialer VS no bumps. I know the bumps (or are they wings?) would pull the tail in for hold, but is that it?

What would be the differences between let’s say a swallow tail and a rounded pin tail … Would it be the same theory as a typical tri-fin setup ??

I hate to shop you out but if you pick up the book “Essential Surfing,” it goes over all the different design aspects of the surfboard, including polyester/ PU board building. But in relation to tail design questions rounded pin tail… it holds well in surf and has a good rail to rail transiton feel. The swallow tail is kind of a two part design. It can be a swallow tail like you see in the thruster style. just a notch out the botttom, or it can be a twin pin like the twin fin fishes that are making a comeback. the notch swallow is use to get that hold like a pin while keeping the float of the squash. The twin pin is a fast down the line tail that is not the easiet to turn but definitely fast with a twin keel set up. Hope this helped.

The book is easier to understand than my words…

This set-up felt real loose but still lots of drive
