I have a 6’8" fish I shaped, and want to try a quad setup. The wide point is right around 4’ from the tail. I’m going to use future fins, VQFT1 . I’m thinking the back fins should be 5.5" from the tail, and 11.5" for the front fins. I’m not sure how far to space the fins apart though. Should I toe the back fins in a little more than the front? Maybe point the rears towards the nose, and the fronts just outside? I just hate to put all the work into a board, and make it an unsurfable pig because of the wrong fin setup.
