Quad, futures.

this may be a silly question. But when you use future boxes for a quad, do you use 4 rail boxes or do you use 2 rail boxes and 2 trailer boxes for the trailing fins? i need to order some when i realized.

Use 4 rail boxes. The trailers boxes (1/2" deep) are made to go into the stringer. The deeper rail boxes give more strength for the foam only insert.

Have a few planned myself.

You can use both,

depends on the fins you have or are going to buy.

Futures makes the pivots as well as the big and small rear

Quad fin with both large and small tangs(depth of the base)

personally I love the scimitars w/pivots in the rear.

4 rail boxes.

I made this mistake! I installed two rail boxes and two trailer boxes. When I bought a set of Vector II quad fins, I had to shave down the base of the rear fins to fit in the boxes. Never again will I make that mistake. I basically had to ruin a set of brand new fins. Oh well…live and learn I guess.
