Quad or bonzer-5 on a step-up

I know it’s been discussed before, but I could use some advice…

Quad or Bonzer-5 on a 7’ step-up? To be ridden at overhead-plus at home and on trips to Maldives and Indonesia.  Mix of backside and front, looking for down the line speed and hold in hollow sections, not for drastic turns.  Due to board length, probably won’t be planted right over the fins very often.  Would one setup paddle faster than another?

I’ve ridden bonzers before and noticed them slippery on the take-off, magic on the bottom turn, but never really unlocked the speed people talk about.  Anyone tried both types of fin on a step-up?

No, but I have a 7'6 bonzer five I really like in down-the-line conditions.  Not sure what "slippery on the take-off" means.  I don't think you would be disappointed with the bonzer, if you get the fins / channels right.  Haven't tried a quad yet, but I'm working on a couple boards right now that I plan to go quad on.

Greg Griffen builds some pretty cool five finners (no channels). Maybe he might share his fin placement, they look awesome and get good reviews.
