I’m looking for two 3" fins that would have FCS like tabs. Anyone know where I could get a set made or if there are stock fins like this?

You can make them yourself if you want to go down that path. I enjoy making fins and hope one day I can start my own fin company. If you want I’ll make you a set. Haha. But I’m pretty busy lately so it may take a while

Hi Bob,

Depending upon the template you’re after you could use FCS glass flex fins in M3, GX or similar templates.

These can be ground and sanded down quickly and easily to your desired shape and foil.

Cheapest way.

If you’re after double foiled just use 2 centre fins from a thruster set.

Most surf shops will have a spares box from which you can buy single and mis-matched fins really cheaply.

Shapers at the Gold coast may have some DVS sharktooth sidebites which may suit.

Phil Way at Yamba (ex Fluid foils) could make you fibreglass fins in any template you desire.

Thanks. I’ve had a pm and sent some board specs and fin photo. I could do as you say but fins always struck me as a specialist item and I’m a dangerous man with an angle grinder. I like riidng it finless but in the recent swells, the fins do allow control when doing cutbacks at speed.

Try some fins with curves in the templates.

They work so well.

Thanks. I was looking to try a more upright fin, but depending on how that works out I could always go more curved.
