I know you can set in the rocker by glueing the peices together, but would a 6 inch or so strip of glass sandwhiched in there hold to form also? I’ve read this could be used as a stringer substitute, but it doesn’t say about setting the rocker.
Also, when using epoxy with EPS foam, you use the same kind of fiberglass cloth as with poly right?
Yea that would work, I was considering doing that myself but to do it right you need to lay the strip out on a big peice of waxed paper, then when it’s hard, you can trace your stringer template onto it and cut it out of that, then glue it in with the rest of the board. Otherwise, you will have a hard time getting in the right rocker.
I think that would work best if you glued up your foam flat & thick, and then cut in the rocker and used the glass stringer to keep it that way. Trying to bend rocker into foam sheets that are just held with soft resin & glass until it sets up sounds difficult.
